Chrome Bar and Nitro-tuff Bar

Commercial Fluid Power inventories a variety of chrome bar and nitrided bar to meet your shaft requirements. We carry sizes in both imperial and metric dimensions.

CP    CP or Chrome Plated bar standard material grade is C1045/1050 with 0.0005" or 0.001" minimum chrome per side.  This available in various mechanical strengths from 50,000 psi minimum yield to 100,000 psi minimum yield.  Applications include hydraulic and pneumatic cylinder rods.

Nitro Bar Furnace
 

IH    IH or Induction Hardened bar standard material grade is C1045/1050 with 0.0005" to 0.001" minimum chrome thickness as standards.  Material is available in 50,000 psi, 75,000 psi and 100,000 psi yield strengths.  IH bar is used for the excellent dent resistance properties this type of rod exhibits.  Ideal for off road applications where road debris can contact the polished and chrome plated shaft.

Nitro-tuff Bar Wate Product-WATER

 

Nitro-tuff bar products is an Eco-friendly replacement for chrome plated shafting.  The waste product for Nitro-tuff bar products is WATER.  This is a direct replacement for CP bar.  Nitro0tuff has 150 hours of Guaranteed corrosion resistance in a Neutral Salt Spray bath with a rating of 10, no corrosion to the un-aided eye.
