Nitrided products are a growing choice for many cylinder builders.  Nitrided bar and tube products are now the specified choice of many original equipment manufacturers.  Nitrided products offer excellent field performance and is often the subject of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) ads.

John Deere, ran an ad for their Hydro-Max hydraulic cylinders stating "Nitro-processed black rods.  Exceptional nitrate-coating process gives excellent rust and wear resistance."

Case ad states "NitroSteel Rods Last Up to 3X Longer."

New Holland/Land Pride, ran an ad for their backhoes stating "Hydraulic Cylinders feature NitroSteel black piston rods for long lasting wear and corrosion resistance."

Massey Ferguson ad features the line "Lift Cylinders with NitroSteel". 

The same technical advantages found in the NitroSteel rods are also found in Nitro-tuff tubing.  Nitro-tuff tubes offer excellent wear and corrosion resistance.  Nitrided tubes and bars are ECO friendly with a waste product of WATER.
